1-Year Genetic Health Guarantee
Your kitten’s health and genetic integrity are very important to us. We provide a 1-year genetic health guarantee that covers select inherited and congenital conditions, as defined in our Purchase Agreement.
We practice responsible and ethical breeding:
We never breed fold-on-fold, which helps reduce the risk of cartilage and joint disorders associated with the Scottish Fold gene.
Both Scottish Fold and Scottish Straight parents are DNA tested for the TRPV4 fold gene mutation prior to breeding to ensure proper and responsible pairings.
All of our breeding cats are tested through Optimal Selection™, which screens for multiple genetic conditions, including but not limited to:
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM)
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA)
Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)
Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS)
Blood type compatibility
Coat color and trait genetics
Genetic diversity
This guarantee applies only to inherited genetic conditions and does not cover illness, injury, infectious disease, parasites, environmental causes, or conditions arising after the kitten leaves our care, as outlined in the Purchase Agreement.
30 Days of Complimentary Trupanion Insurance
Each kitten is eligible for 30 days of complimentary Trupanion pet insurance to help protect against unexpected veterinary expenses during the transition to their new home.
Activation by the buyer is required, and continuation of coverage beyond the initial 30 days is optional.
Through careful screening, DNA testing, and responsible breeding practices, you can feel confident that your kitten comes from healthy, ethically bred, and well-vetted bloodlines.
